Mission 4:86

"Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the Kingdom of God belongs to such as these.  I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the Kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it."

In memory of Cole and Tori ~ Together in Heaven

We at Mission 4:86 take pause for a few days to mourn the passing of one of our special angels here in Carrollton. Cole passed away on Saturday December 26th 2009 after a lengthy struggle with respiratory difficulties. Cole had just turned 18 and was excited about graduating from high school in the spring. He was a central part of a very special group of children locally who were all born with Spina Bifida and, with the support of family and friends, survived countless medical procedures and unexpected trips to the hospital. We are saddened by the fact that we will never hear his laughter or see his sweet smile, but we know he is in Heaven now and is free of his daily battle. Our hearts go out to the Ross and Shook families and we ask for your prayers for them as they enter in to difficult times.

Blessings to you all,

One of our translators in Belarus notified me today about a 16 year old girl named Dasha Zhurbina who lives in Gomel, Belarus. Dasha was born on September 26, 1993 and diagnosed with infantile cerebral paralysis, 3rd stage of hemiplegia and convulsive disorder. Her condition has deteriorated to the point that her joints no longer bend and her every movement is now an exersize in pain. Her mother has found a hospital in Germany that will perform the much needed surgery regardless of her continual seizures. Unfortunately, she cannot afford the $75,000 that is required to transport Dasha and pay for the procedure.  Mission 4:86 is working to help raise the necessary funds for Dasha and we would like for you to join us!

During our time in Belarus, we had the opportunity to visit a variety of orphanages, boarding schools and day care facilities for children. We were continually blessed by the receptiveness of the children and young adults that we encountered.  We invite you to visit our updated photo albums and meet the children that have changed our lives forever!

Our site is dedicated to improving life conditions for the children living in the Chernobyl region of the world .   We are committed to bringing the resources of a caring world to the victims of a radiation ravaged environment.  It is our hope that you will be moved by the information that you see here and join our family to create a better world for these wonderful children.
